Questions to Ask

Most consumers don't know the correct questions to ask when making transportation arrangements. That's why we put this list together to make it easy for you. Please see the Truffle Shuttle History topic to see how we compiled this list (the hard way!)

 

1. What year is the vehicle?
2. What is the make of the vehicle?
3. How many miles are on the vehicle?
4. Has the vehicle EVER broken down? If so, have you had to cancel on a group with a reservation.
5. Does the vehicle have air conditioning in the passenger area? If so, does it cool down on a day that's 90 degrees.   How many BTUs is the A/C?  A bus should be equipped with at least 40,000 BTUs of A/C.  Our 2011 bus has 90,000 BTUs of A/C with dual compressors to keep you cool even on those 100 degree days.
6. Does the vehicle have have heat in the passenger area?  How many BTUs is the heating system?  Our auxillary heat system is powered by 65,000 BTUs.
7. How many years have you been in business?
8. Are you have a surety bond with DMV?  If not, they are not legally allowed to conduct business.
9. Do you have Virginia Operating Authority with Virginia's DMV?  If not, they are not legally allowed to do business in Virginia.
10. Do you have a business license with the city?  If not, they are not legally allowed to do business in Virginia.
11. How many years experience do the driver's have?  Do they have any history of crashes?  Our driver's have years of safe driving experience.
12. What's your cancellation policy?  Do you charge for a re-schedule?  The Truffle Shuttle allows you to re-schedule for free to an available date.
